Official times are in. I ended up 66th overall with a time of 23:22.

I’m pretty happy with that result. However, I don’t think the track was officially 5K (3.1) mi. I clocked it about 2.87mi using RunKeeper on my iPhone. I was pacing myself using the info I had on my phone so when the race was over I had some additional energy I could have harnessed. I heard that other runners had similar complaints.

Overall it was a really fun experience. The 5K is a good race. Usually, I don’t like running any sort of distance. I’d rather run steps for 5-10 minutes and be done. The 5K in a competitive environment was fun though. I’m pretty sure I’ll do one again.
